The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Russia Kazem Jalali and Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Ryabkov discussed strengthening bilateral ties in a telephone conversation.

Iran PressEurope: In order to review the latest bilateral and international cooperation between Iran and Russia, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Russia Kazem Jalali had a telephone conversation with Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Ryabkov.

The two sides discussed illegal US efforts to extend arms embargo on Iran, Iran's nuclear activities and cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), baseless allegations made by Western countries about Iran's space activities, the politicization of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) affairs by the US, and the fight against Coronavirus.

In the end, the two sides stressed that close and extensive consultations between diplomatic authorities should continue.
