Tehran (IP) - The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei stressed that the Armed Forces are really on the field in the matter of fighting the coronavirus and assistance to the people's livelihoods, adding that serving the nation is one of the greatest tasks of Iran's armed forces.

Iran PressIran News: Speaking during the graduation ceremony of the cadets of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran via videoconference on Monday, Ayatollah Khamenei said that Iran's armed forces have other important tasks besides providing security, one of the greatest of which is providing services to the nation, including infrastructure services such as dams, roads, and refineries as well as healthcare.

Ayatollah Khamenei added that even today, the Iranian armed forces are vigorously on the field concerning coronavirus pandemic, and the armed forces are doing very well in livelihood assistance as well as empathy and pious help maneuver arenas.

The commander-in-chief of the Iranian armed forces considered studying in military universities and universities of the armed forces as one of the most honorable and valuable tasks, stating that by studying in these universities, the Iranian youth will enter the armed forces that ensure the country's security.

Ayatollah Khamenei also added that maintaining the security of the country is a very high and fundamental value and a vital element.

The leader emphasized that without security, all the important values ​​of the country, including welfare, justice and developing knowledge will be disrupted.

The joint graduation ceremony for the cadets studying in the academies of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Armed Forces was held this morning (Monday) via videoconferencing between Ayatollah Khamenei - the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces - and the commanders and certain military units who were present in the event.

The event was held in Imam Ali (PBUH) Officer’s Academy with only a number of the exemplary units from the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) and Police in attendance due to special conditions caused by the COVID-19 outbreak.
