Moscow (IP) - The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Russia appreciated Moscow's firm stance in condemning the assassination of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, a prominent Iranian scientist.

Iran PressEurope: Referring to the opening of the Martyr Fakhrizadeh memorial book in Moscow, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Russia, Kazem Jalali, noted: "Some Russian officials and personalities signed the memorial book of Martyr Fakhrizadeh on Wednesday and Thursday at the Iranian embassy, and due to the spread of the coronavirus, some people expressed their condolences to the government and people of Iran via e-mail."

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Russia stated that the Russian media devoted the most important headlines to this terrorist attack, adding: "The Russian media mainly emphasized that this terrorist attack could not be assigned to a person or a group, rather, there was a terrorist government behind it."

Jalali also stressed in a tweet: "State terrorism with the aim of stopping the growth of peaceful nuclear science and technology in the field of national security of a country is a clear violation of human rights principles and rules of international law, to which the strategic response is the natural and non-negligible  right of the Islamic Republic."

Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, head of the Research and Innovation Organization of the Iranian Ministry of Defense and a leading scientist in the country's nuclear and defense industries, was martyred last Friday (November 27th) in a terrorist attack around Tehran.

Cuba condemns Fakhrizadeh's assassination strongly

Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz attended the Iranian Embassy in Havana and signed the condolence book of the great martyr Mohsen Fakhrizadeh. While condemning this terrorist act, he expressed his condolences to the government and people of Iran on the martyrdom of this great scientist.

So far some countries like Russia, South Africa, Venezuela, Syria, China, Iraq, Cuba, and Swiss have condemned Fakhrizadeh's assassination.
