Tashkent (IP) - Iranian Foreign Minister met with the President of Uzbekistan to discuss expanding relations between the two countries.

Iran PressAsiaMohammad Javad Zarif, who is in Tashkent to meet with the Republic of Uzbekistan officials, met with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Monday to discuss mutual interest.

During the meeting, the President of Uzbekistan called for holding the 14th round of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation in a shorter period of time.

In addition to bilateral cooperation, developments in the peace process in Afghanistan, as well as cooperation between the two countries in the international arena, were also discussed.
