Baghdad (IP) - A bomb blast north of Baghdad has killed 6 Iraqi officers and soldiers.

Iran Press/Middle East: Some news sources in Iraq report a bomb blast during an operation carried out by security forces against terror elements in the Tarmiyah region, north of Baghdad.

The blast, which occurred Friday night, killed 3 Iraqi officers and 3 soldiers.

A roadside bomb exploded near a patrol car belonging to Iraqi forces in Tarmiyah, causing the explosion. The Iraqi Army called the blast a terrorist incident.

No group has yet taken responsibility, but authorities suspect the ISIS was behind the attack.
