Tehran (IP) - Holding a phone call with his Tunisian counterpart, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, condemned the recent aggression of the Israeli regime on the Gaza Strip.

Iran PressIran news: Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, in a telephone conversation with the Speaker of Tunisia's Parliament Rachid al-Ghannouchi, on Sunday, referring to the aggressive nature of the Israeli regime in killing Palestinian Muslims, especially defenseless women and children, noted: "Now that this usurping regime, in addition to desecrating the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the first qibla of Muslims, continues to commit crimes against humanity and kill the people of Gaza and Palestine, it is necessary for the parliaments of Islamic countries to stand up for Palestine as the people's representatives."

He said: "Defending the Palestinian people and the liberation of al-Quds is the duty of all Muslims and freedom-seekers of the world."

"The escalation of the Israeli regime's aggression in the Gaza Strip and Ramallah has made Eid al-Fitr painful for all Muslims," ​​said Rachid al-Ghannouchi.

"In a situation where the international community is unable to stop the aggression of the occupying regime in al-Quds, Muslims must do their utmost to defend Palestine, al-Quds, and the Muslim people of the region," al-Ghannouchi said.
