Rome (IP) - On Tuesday, Iranian Foreign Minister met with the President of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Senate of Italy, Vito Rosario Petrocelli, to discuss various international and bilateral issues.

Iran PressEurope: Mohammad Javad Zarif started his European tour last Thursday with a trip to the capital city of Spain, Madrid.

After meeting with Spanish officials, the Iranian Foreign Minister arrived in Rome on Sunday to meet with Italian and Vatican officials and met with Vatican Prime Minister Cardinal Pietro Parolin and Archbishop Gallagher and Pope Francis, the head of the Catholic Church.

The Foreign Minister also met and held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the International Cooperation of Italy Luigi Di Maio to discuss the expansion of bilateral relations between the two countries of Iran and Italy.
