Tehran (IP) - The Syrian ambassador to Iran said that Brigadier General Hejazi, with his fellow martyr Soleimani, had played an effective role in defeating the terrorists and thwarting conspiracies against Syria.

Iran PressIran news: On the 40th day after the martyrdom of Mohammad Hejazi, the Syrian ambassador to Iran, Shafiq Dayoub noted that this martyr spent his life serving Islam and Muslims, adding that this honorable martyr was responsible for defending the country and sanctity of Muslim countries.

Emphasizing that the memory of Martyr Hejazi will remain in the hearts of the Syrian people, he highlighted that this great martyr stood with Martyr Lt Gen Qasem Soleimani in defense of Syrian territory and its people against the terrorist group ISIS and his presence in many victories against the occupiers, and the enemies of Islam were evident.

Dayoub also stressed that the sacrifices of this martyr have strengthened the relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Syria and the people of these two countries.

Syria, led by Bashar al-Assad, has been facing a global war for ten years now, and the enemies have gathered more than a thousand terrorists from all over the country to conspire against Syria, and the enemies have provided media, financial, propaganda and weapons aid to the terrorists. But Syria was able to overcome this crisis with the resistance of the Syrian people and government and the help of its friends and allies, including Iran and Russia, he continued.

He stressed that Syria is loyal to the countries that supported it, led by the Islamic Republic of Iran led by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

The commemoration ceremony of the 40th day after the death of Mohammad Hejazi, former Deputy Commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps, was held in the presence of foreign and domestic guests in Tehran on Tuesday.
