Tehran (IP): Iran's Parliament Speaker called elections a symbol of religious democracy and a window of change for the country's management.

Iran PressIran news: Regarding the national and international dimensions of the people's participation in the elections, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said: "Undoubtedly, the elections are a manifestation of religious democracy."

Speaking on the sidelines of a visit to the country's election headquarters on Friday night, Ghalibaf told Iran Press that undoubtedly, the elections are Iran's great political and social capital.

"Elections are a great opportunity for the people to criticize certain aspects of religious democracy and are a window of change for the country's management," he added.

Stating the fact that naturally, the election has national and international implications, Ghalibaf expressed hope that the new administration would live up to its commitments and expectations.

People become proud of Iran by participating in elections

The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament on Saturday in a tweet said: "The Iranian people became proud of Iran by their maximum participation in the elections."

Referring to the epic of people's participation in the elections, Ghalibaf said: "Despite the annoyances and complaints about inefficiencies, the people became proud of Iran by their maximum participation in the elections."

Ghalibaf also congratulated the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei and the people of Iran on the occasion of the national election celebration calling it a national epic.

The 13th presidential election of Iran was held yesterday, Friday.
