Oil Min. to US, Europe:

Tehran (IP) - Addressing the US and European authorities, Iran's Oil Minister said the removal of sanctions on Iran was key to the mitigation of the energy crisis in the world.

Iran PressIran News: In an interview after the 21st OPEC and non-OPEC Ministerial Meeting on Monday, Javad Oji said: "My advice to American and European decision-makers is to learn from the current situation and lift sanctions on Iran to help ease the energy crisis."

Oji pointed to the energy crisis that engulfed the world and recalled to the American and European policy-makers that people were concern about the issue in the US and Europe.

The multiple increases in gas prices in Europe due to the decline of these clean fuel inventories has been unprecedented.

"The people of Europe and the United States today are coping with a situation in which their respective governments have for years illegally and cruelly boycotted us as one of the major oil exporters" the Iranian oil minister noted.

The unilateral and interventionist policies of the US and Europe have not only harmed the Iranian nation but also have made the citizens of other countries of the world heavily pay for such unwise policies the continuation of which may bring about more deleterious consequences.

People in the US and Europe are suffering the crisis of energy while such names as Brent, West Texas Intermediate, and the like are not unfamiliar to their ears.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, as a major energy supplier of the world, expressed readiness to solve the problem of energy in the world in the shortest time, provided that the US and Europe lift their unfair sanctions on the Iranian nation.
