Tehran (IP) – President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a massage congratulated Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on his election as the new President of the UAE.

Iran PressIran news: In his message, Ebrahim Raisi stated that the cornerstone of the development and progress of relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the UAE, which was founded and expanded during the time of the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan, during his presidency with wisdom and in the interests of both countries.

Raisi hoped that the two countries would see a growing expansion of relations with the two sides' cooperation.

Former UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan died at 73 on Friday, May 13, 2022.

Khalifa bin Zayed was the second head of state of the UAE since its founding on December 2, 1971, and the 16th ruler of Abu Dhabi.

The UAE Federal Supreme Council has elected Crown Prince Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as president.
