Tehran (IP) - Iran Press' camera takes us this time to another royal palace in Tehran, the capital of Iran, located in Saadabad Historical Complex.

Iran PressIran News: Saadabad Historical Complex is a beautiful example of Iranian architecture, where different kinds of the country's arts such as gilding, plastering, and khatam inlaying can be seen.

Named Alikhan, the palace was a semi-constructed building in the Qajar period, which was then completed in the Pahlavi period when Reza Shah was ruling.

The building is also known as Stone Palace or Marble Palace due to the use of rare green stones from a mine in Zanjan province, northwestern Iran, and Khorasan province, east of the country.

The complex is also named Shahvand Place.
